Lately, we have seen more and more people ordering JAJA Pearl Powder™. With that has come a slew of questions. And we thought with Mother’t Day coming up faster than we realized… This is the perfect time to answer some questions, and give you some good info.

Pearl Powder Background and Answers

Pearl powder is written about in the famous ancient Chinese health book entitled Ben Cao Gang Mu. This book was written centuries ago by the famous Chinese Physician Li Shi Zhen as being good for is good for treating many kinds of skin disease. That being said… We make no claims Pearl Powder cures anything so we can comply with FDA requirements.

It is also a fact based on real life experiences of a lot people who had skin problems and recovered by using pearl powder. That’s why it was used by the ancient Chinese and the Japanese Emperors & Empresses. And it’s still very popular in China and Japan and other Asian countries as it has been for centuries.

Of course pearl powder is no miracle, and nothing will happen over night. In order for you to get good results, it’s better not only to put on the skin surface, it’s also important to take pearl powder internally.

Why?

Good Stuff in Freshwater Pearl Powder

Because pearl powder made from freshwater pearls (like JAJA Pearl Powder) has 26 readable amino acid, 38-42% calcium and high protein. Except for 3% moisture (typical in JAJA Pearl Powder… more moisture in others), everything is treasured in pearl powder (here we only refer to real and good quality pure pearl powder — like JAJA Pearl Powder, this is extremely important, otherwise it can really hurt your skin).

All that being said… remember… pearls come from shellfish. That means… if you are allergic to shellfish, then you should not use any pearl powder.

Taking Pearl Powder Internally

Again… remember… pearls come from shellfish. That means… if you are allergic to shellfish, then you should not use any pearl powder internally.

According to TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) When you take pearl powder internally… pearl powder can clean up the “poison” (in TCM terms — like heat poison, wind poison, etc.) from your internal organs, the end result result will show clearly… especially on your skin. That’s why the Chinese call pearl powder “beauty in out”.

Another Way to Use JAJA Pearl Powder For Maximum Results

First of all, let’s talk about topical use:

Every morning after washing your face, you can mix a little pearl powder into your daily face cream. If the cream turns watery, it means the cream you are using does not go together with the pearl powder. You should look for another type of cream. If the cream stays creamy, it’s perfect.

Regarding the quantity, you can mix as much or as little as you want. Some people like their skin took very white, they can put more pearl powder in. Otherwise you only need to mix a little bit powder into the face cream.

Every other evening or twice a week at least, you should do facial mask.

Mix some pearl powder with fresh Aloe juice to make a paste, then put on your face evenly after cleaning your face. If you can not find Aloe juice, use egg white (beware of salmonella) or honey instead. You can go to bed with the musk on or simply rinse it off without using soap. If you mix with water only, it’ll dry very fast and you’ll have to rinse it off soon. The good part is it can tighten up your face skin.

Better Ideas For Internal Use… It’s Really Very Simple.

Like the person working at Smarter Health Corporation who wrote this article… every early morning after you get up, clean your mouth first, then you can put ¼ tea spoon powder on your tongue and drink some water to bring the powder through. In the evening before going to bed, you can do the same way and take another ¼ tea spoon of pearl powder. It does not hurt to take more. Some people even take 2 spoon amount daily.

If you don’t like to take it the way I do… you can mix pearl powder into yogurt or some other food. It’s not recommended to mix into water because pearl powder has 38-42% calcium. Calcium does not melt in water and will sink to the bottom.

Anyway no matter which way you chose to take internally, the most important is to remember it and take it every day and treat it as dietary supplement. Otherwise the result will not be as good as it should be.

You can watch your skin condition deteriorate, and do nothing as your skin gets mistreated from harsh daily chemicals you come in contact with, in addition to pollution, and direct sun light.

Or, you can take immediate action and join the others who are using Emperor’s Herbologist brand 100% Pearl Powder and are getting results.

Why not order today? You know the longer you wait the worse your skin becomes.

Is This Some Sort Of Joke?

I first saw this last week, and thought it might be a joke to lighten people up in time for “Pay Income Tax Day” in the USA.

It seemed as if someone had duped the media about meat. Then as I started to read further, and then start to research. It was as if I was watching some B grade science fiction movie. You know… where some weird scientist starts to grow animal parts in test tubes. Why? Because he wants to prove he can.

Well, in my research I found these headlines…

Test Tube Meat No Longer Science Fiction, Dutch Researchers Say

Story by By Rudy Ruitenberg it can be found on Bloomberg news service.

Then I saw this headline…

South Carolina Scientist Works To Grow Meat In Lab

By Harriet McLeod of Reuters News Service

And after more research… I found this media release by a Dutch University…

The universities in Wageningen and Utrecht will sink their teeth into making new meat. ‘In vitro meat’ is meat cultured in a test tube. Is this for real? Yes, even though it would be some time before the first cut finds its way to the shop.

Picture a piece of meat on your plate. It’s not from an animal, and it’s not a meat substitute. It’s real meat, made from real muscle cells. But without the presence of the cow, the pig or the chicken. Cultured meat. Sounds strange in year 2011. A flight of fancy? Not quite? In any case, it’s not unthinkable. That seemed to be the case last week in the lobby in the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation (EL&I) where a joint project of the universities in Wageningen and Utrecht was kicked off, a project which would bring cultured meat a great deal closer. Here are ten questions about cultured meat.

They go on to justify growing meat in a test tube by saying “Currently, 70 percent of farmland in the world is used for the production of meat. The livestock industry is responsible for loads of problems concerning the environment and animal welfare. Nevertheless, the demand for meat continues to grow worldwide, especially in upcoming economies such as China. A major question is whether the earth can cater to such demand. The search for sustainable alternative sources of protein therefore goes full steam ahead.”

They go on to further justify this monstrosity by saying “Cultured meat promises to be a sustainable, climate and animal friendly alternative for meat.”

So it is being justified by a reduction of “greenhouse gases from animals passing gas” that are the cause of “man made global warming”.

Is there no shame in these people? Is there no depth they will not stoop to?

Starting At Medical University, Charleston SC

In Medical University of South Carolina, Vladimir Mironov, M.D., Ph.D. “a developmental biologist and tissue engineer one of only a few scientists worldwide involved in bioengineering ‘cultured’ meat.” Is the culprit behind this.

According to the article he is the “Director of the Advanced Tissue Biofabrication Center in the Department of Regenerative Medicine and Cell Biology at the medical university” Any graduates of Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston SC? If so, it’s time to write to the alumni association.

PETA’s Involvement

And of course PETA (not the PETA I am in… I’m in “People for the Eating of Tasty Animals”, but the other PETA… you know, the ones throwing paint and animal blood on peoples fur coats and leather jackets. They are funding Vladimir Mironov, M.D., Ph.D.’s studies.

Frankenstein Meat Is The Same As Yogurt, Beer and Wine????

And the spokes person from PETA was quoted as claiming that “cultured” aka Frankenstein meat is no different than yogurt or beer. Yup… she actually said that!

Here is her quote “But there are a lot of products that we eat today that are considered natural that are produced in a similar manner…

There’s yogurt, which is cultured yeast. You have wine production and beer production. These were not produced in laboratories. Society has accepted these products.”

Yup, these were NOT produced in laboratories. And no… yogurt, wine, and beer are NOT the same as meat.

Nice try though. Next time use sound logic… ok-bye-now!

The University Explained How Test tube Meat Is Made

From the University web site. Answer to FAQ #8

It starts with stem cells. You let these multiply continuously. After splitting, you let the cells grow into tissue cells. The tissue cells have to thread themselves into fibers. But it is not the intention to produce a real tissue. That would be too difficult. The little muscle tissues can be used to make meat. It would be nice too to have minced meat as a start.

Here is what they are doing… They are taking stem cells and putting them on petri dishes. Then in a lab they grow muscle tissue. Muscle is called meat by us and the butcher.

They say they can grow the meat (muscle) bigger by giving it electrical stimulation shocks and “exercise” it.

I’m not joking here.

Just Like GMO Foods — Hidden Consequences Show Up Too Late

Dr. Frankenstein… I mean Mironov is also quoted as saying “I believe we can do it without genes. But there is no evidence that if you add genes the quality of food will somehow suffer. Genetically modified food is already normal practice and nobody dies.”

Unfortunately for him, we are all learning more and more about the harmful effects of genetically modified foods. All the strange diseases they are now being linked to. We know that animals that are raised outside in the pasture eating grass and moving around are healthier than those kept pent up in cages and not allowed to move around.

What You Eat Becomes Part Of Your Physical Being

We know from ourselves that what we eat becomes a part of ourselves and the same is true of animals. What they eat is the major contributor to their health, and to the properties you can get from them when you eat them.

And make no mistake, there are some things essential for healthy living the human body does not manufacture that you have to get from eating animals.

Will the Frankenstein meat have them?… How can it?

Will the Frankenstein meat have the same benefits for your body when it is not created by an animal eating food, digesting the food and letting nature take it course?

About the only benefit I can see from Frankenstein meat is Monsanto is not involved selling GMO cattle, cloned cattle, and giving the cattle massive doses of antibiotics, hormone stimulants, and other things… Oh yeah, and you won’t have to worry about getting mad cow disease.

The time to stop this nonsense is now. Today. Before it takes hold, and the government shoves it down your throat at the behest of some bio-medical company who through campaign contributions and promises of good paying jobs after retirement gets some politicians and top bureaucrats approving it for consumption… like was done with GMO cattle, GMO seeds, cloned cattle. And all of that can not be labeled as GMO foods, because then “people won’t buy it”

If that’s the case, then why produce it?

###

Vitamin D Background & Benefits

As you probably already know, Vitamin D aka the “sunshine vitamin” has been long linked to bone health, anti cancer protection, improved heart function…

However, as we get older, our bodies lose the ability to create enough Vitamin D we need. Low vitamin D levels create all sorts of problems listed below…

In fact, according to the Mayo Clinic

The term “vitamin D” refers to several different forms of this vitamin. Two forms are important in humans: ergocalciferol (vitamin D2) and cholecalciferol (vitamin D3). Vitamin D2 is synthesized by plants. Vitamin D3 is synthesized by humans in the skin when it is exposed to ultraviolet-B (UVB) rays from sunlight. Foods may be fortified with vitamin D2 or D3

The major biologic function of vitamin D is to maintain normal blood levels of calcium and phosphorus. Vitamin D aids in the absorption of calcium, helping to form and maintain strong bones. Recently, research also suggests vitamin D may provide protection from osteoporosis, hypertension (high blood pressure), cancer, and several autoimmune diseases.

Rickets and osteomalacia are classic vitamin D deficiency diseases.

Additionally, it is said to help preventing in constant fatigue; pregnancy related infections leading to premature labor and death of infants; renal failure and other kidney diseases; age-related vision loss; multiple sclerosis; Parkinson’s disease; chance of developing Type 1 diabetes… and what we want to talk about today…

Memory, Dementia and Alzheimer’s

According to the Alzheimer’s Research Trust (UK), dementia affects 822,000 people in the UK. According to the Alzheimer’s Association (USA) so far in 2011 in the USA alone an estimated 5.4 Million people have Alzheimer’s disease.

(This figure includes 5.2 million people aged 65 and older(41), and 200,000 individuals under age 65 who have younger-onset Alzheimer’s.)

The Alzheimer’s Association said

“One in eight people aged 65 and older (13 percent) has Alzheimer’s disease.

Nearly half of people aged 85 and older (43 percent) have Alzheimer’s disease…

Of those with Alzheimer’s disease, an estimated 4 percent are under age 65, 6 percent are 65 to 74; 45 percent are 75 to 84; and 45 percent are 85 or older”

Scary Numbers!

So How Does Low Vitamin D Factor In

Chronic low serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25OHD) concentrations are common in adults and are associated with numerous non-skeletal diseases. Vitamin D receptors (VDR) are located in the human cortex and hippocampus, which are key areas for cognition (perception, memory, judgment, and reasoning).

A study led by Dr David J Llewellyn was done in July 2010. It was in joint co-operation between the University of Exeter in the UK, the University of Michigan, the UK Medical Research Council Biostatistics Unit, the Perugia University Hospital and Medical School in Italy, and the US National Institute on Aging.

They studied 850 people aged 65 or over and found participants who had low levels of vitamin D, were 60%… yes Sixty Percent… MORE likely to have lowered mental processes of cognition than those who had healthy levels of Vitamin D in their systems.

Additional Mental Problems

Additionally, those who had lower levels of Vitamin D were 31 per cent more likely to experience new problems with mental flexibility.

Dr. Llewellyn said ”Cognitive decline and dementia are also very common in older adults, though the underlying causes are still largely unknown and current options for prevention and treatment are limited. Vitamin D deficiency is therefore a highly promising therapeutic target for the prevention of dementia, particularly as supplements are inexpensive and safe and have already been shown to reduce the risk of falls, fractures and death.”

Professor Clive Ballard, Director of Research at Alzheimer’s Society (UK) added “This research emphasises the importance of eating a healthy balanced diet in order to avoid dementia later in life.”

Canadian Study

There was a study done in 2010 in Canada. It was done by Barake R, Weiler H, Payette H, Gray-Donald K. of the School of Dietetics and Human Nutrition, McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

The authors of the study concluded “Prevalence of vitamin D deficiency is low in healthy elderly men and women, especially in summer, but over 50% of the participants had suboptimal vitamin D concentrations. Vitamin D supplement consumption increased 25(OH)D concentrations substantially, particularly in the winter months, and should be encouraged.”

Since vitamin D is low in people who do not take supplements or eat a lot of vitamin D containing foods, doesn’t it make sense to supplement your diet with vitamin D.

So how do you get Vitamin D?

Since it is called the “Sunshine” vitamin, did you know you can get it by spending 10 minutes in the sun. Your skin will then manufacture it for your body. However, as people age their skin becomes less efficient at producing vitamin D. This means as we get older we need to rely more on supplements, better food choices, and…

Foods To Eat

Well, you can take a supplement. Or you can eat fish, eggs, fortified milk (we don’t think cow milk is so great, but if you do drink it, or use dairy… do yourself a favor and go Organic dairy only), and cod liver oil. The sun also contributes significantly to the daily production of vitamin D, and as little as 10 minutes of exposure is thought to be enough to prevent deficiencies.

Vitamin D is a Fat soluble vitamin. Meaning it needs fat in order to tune into a form that works in your system.

There are FIVE Healthy Foods to eat in early spring that according to TCM will help you maintain a healthy liver.

Your Liver is Important

Your liver is a very important organ in your body. It is the last defense against all the bad “stuff” that escapes from your digestive system and gets into your blood system.

A strong clean liver will translate into a more effective immune system for you.

<h2 align="center>Holiday Partying

Nobody likes a party more than me. And during the recent Holiday season… starting from Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year… people normally eat and drink more than usual. We stay up later than normal participating in all sorts of activities.

Unfortunately, constantly doing this, takes a toll on our systems… Particularly our livers.

And according to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), right after Spring starts — that would be about now… the Yang increases. Yang increase means it is very easy to get fire heat in your liver.

Actions To Keeping Your Liver Healthy

To keep your liver healthy, except during the change in lifestyle during holiday season do the following:

Get to sleep on time at a (regular time)

Exercise regularly

Pay more attention to the foods we eat

Special Liver Health Enhancing Foods For Spring

Here are foods we should eat every day for liver health during Spring:

Spinach

Leek

Bean sprouts

Red dates combined with

Goji (Gou ji) porridge

can help to keep our livers healthy.

Why These Foods Are Effective

Spinach — Chinese herbal doctors believe there are two types of food. One is “hot” type food. The other is “cool” food. This is based on the properties of the foods. If you want an article on this post below, and if enough people post we will write one.

What Cool Foods Do For You

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), cool foods well nurture your stomach and intestine, and help your digestion; nurture blood, and help blood circulate in your body better; help strengthen the liver yin and reduce stomach problems, headache, dizziness, anemia caused by poor liver blood circulation.

Considerations: Due to high oxalic acid in spinach, it’s better to dip spinach in boiling water first before cooking or eating it raw.

Leek — Eating more leek can strengthen the stomach and spleen according to TCM. It also will nurture the liver yang.

Considerations: Leek is a hot food. People with weak yin or with tumors, or sores should not eat leek. Also, people who have chronic kidney disease or gout should avoid or eat very little leek because of it’s high protein content.

Bean Sprouts — In early Spring, the weather is typically more windy and less rain. These conditions make early spring dry. making it easier to get more heat in the body. Too much of this heat according to TCM will create a type of heat poison.

Bean sprouts can help dispel poison from the body system.

Early Spring is the best time to eat bean sprouts.

Here’s Why…

Bean sprouts can help internal organs recover from winter to spring energy. They can help the liver qi and blood circulate in the body better. Bean sprouts can help to strengthen the stomach and spleen.

Considerations: It is better not to add too much salt and spices when you cook or eat bean sprouts.

Red Dates (jujube) — Red dates are a mild sweet food. According to TCM, they nurture the spleen and make the qi float better. Red dates also have the function of nurturing blood, and calming nerves; dispelling poison from drugs (medicines); moderate the potency of medicine (drugs).

Studies have shown a there is a special compound in red dates that can control the potency of hepatitis virus activity in the liver.

J Ethnopharmacol. 2009 Apr 21;122(3):555-60. Epub 2009 Feb 7.

The protective effect of Zizyphus jujube fruit on carbon tetrachloride-induced hepatic injury in mice by anti-oxidative activities.

Shen X, Tang Y, Yang R, Yu L, Fang T, Duan JA. Jiangsu Key Laboratory for TCM Formulae Research, Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, Nanjing, China.

So as you can see… red dates protect the liver and increase the liver’s immunological function.

Gou Ji — Gou Ji is very mild with a little sweet taste. It has a special function in protecting the liver and stimulating energy. There are all kinds of nutrients such as: protein, sugar, multiple types of vitamins, as well as phosphorous, iron and more in Gou Ji.

These nutrients are all necessary and very important to the health of the human body.

Recently there have been several medical studies proving Gou Ji can protect the liver cells, and improve liver function. It also can help cure chronic hepatitis.

Chinese herbal doctors practicing TCM suggest making porridge of rice with red dates and Gou Ji. According to TCM, eating this porridge not only nurtures the liver, it can also help recuperate the stomach and intestine function… especially after the holiday season’s abuse.

The older we get, the more we have a tendency to pack on pounds, and fat.

Well, here is a novel way to get rid of body excess fat, and have fun at the same time.

Not too long ago a physiotherapist from Texas found a unique new way to reduce fat. The method is to walk backwards.

Walking Backwards?

Yes! Walking backwards… Did you know this way of walking was used before as a physical therapy for preventing and curing back pain? Recently walking backwards has changed into an exercise to lose weight.

How you ask?…

Can I Get A Volunteer?

10 volunteers participated in a test. During the test the volunteers wore oxygen masks. They wore heart monitoring equipment on their body. They rode bicycles using different pedaling, both forward and reverse.

Every volunteer was tested for six minutes. The test also included riding at a pace of four or six miles of speed per hour. This was both forward and backward. The test result came out the same as the physiotherapist expected. Pedaling backward needed 31% higher oxygen than pedaling forward. The heart beat was 15% faster when pedaling backward over forward pedaling.

Lactic acid was also higher in the blood of those pedaling backward. It is obvious from this result that the physiological change in the body was result the required increase in the body’s effort to pedal backward. It worked harder, required more oxygen and burned more calories. This exercise requires less time to perform and achieves better results.

Going Backwards

These results make it obvious to see going backwards is the best choice exercise for people who want to lose weight. Did you know you can also achieve the same results by walking backwards?

When you are out walking backwards, for you own safety you must pay attention to the following points:

When you first start you are burning more calories. It will feel difficult at first. Sometime later after you are use to this action, you will…

burn less calories. It may effect the result of your weight reduction. From this point you can speed up. You can also change by walking backward to running backwards.

When you walk backward, remember you do not have eyes in the back of your head. You can not see what is behind you. So be careful. It is easy to have an accident. So you have to pay special attention. Especially for the beginners. Remember, you can not see holes in the road, stones, cracks, etc.

It is advisable to take a wide road, one that has few cars, few people. Make sure the road is relatively smooth.

The safest and best way to do this is to have a friend or relative accompany you. One of you walks forward and the other walks backwards. After a time switch.

Let us know how it works for you, just make sure to write forwards, not backwards
