Protect your Feet From Hot and Cold
There are many things you can and should do to protect your feet. Among them are protecting your feet from the hot and cold. This is especially important because the circulation of blood in your feet may not be so good, and you may not be able to feel when something is to hot or cold.
- Wear shoes at the beach or on hot pavement
- Put sun screen on the top of your feet to prevent sunburn
- Keep your feet away from radiators and open fires
- Do not put hot water bottles or heating pads on your feet
- Wear socks at night if your feet get cold. Lined boots are an excellent choice in the winter to keep your feet warm
- Check your feet often in cold weather to make sure you do not have frostbite.
Important Reminder: If you have a cut, sore, blister, or bruise on your foot and it does not begin to heal after one day. Call Your Doctor Immediately.
